I recently completed the Avade Workplace Violence Prevention and Awareness training, and it was an excellent experience. The course was informative, engaging, and provided practical strategies for recognizing, preventing, and responding to potentially violent situations in the workplace.

Patrick Gibney was an outstanding instructor. He presented the material clearly, encouraged participation, and used real-world examples that made the concepts easy to understand and apply. His professionalism, knowledge, and approachable teaching style created a positive learning environment where participants felt comfortable asking questions and engaging in discussion.

I recently took the 3-day AVADE instructor training with Kelly Boyer as the master instructor. He did an amazing job. He kept us engaged and made it easy to retain the information. His experiences made what we were learning very relatable.

I recently attended the Health Defensive Tactics System training course with Kelly Boyer and found it to be extremely informative and beneficial. The class was very well-structured, organized, and professionally conducted from start to finish. The instructors presented the material clearly and created an engaging learning environment that made it easy to follow and understand.

I gained valuable knowledge, practical techniques, and a greater understanding of defensive tactics that can be applied in real-world situations, especially within the healthcare environment. I truly appreciate the professionalism, attention to detail, and hands-on training provided throughout the course. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and I would highly recommend this training to others.

I recently took three instructor courses through AVADE. Patrick Gibney was the instructor and he was exceptional! Although taking three instructor courses back to back to back was rough, Patrick's instruction style was upbeat and engaging. He asked open ended questions and was receptive to students questions, even when they might have been outside the scope of instruction. The content was exceptional!

I recently attended the Behavioral Health Instructor course through the Healthcare System where I work as a Police Officer. The instructor, Cosmo, was absolutely one of the best instructors I have ever had for any classroom-based training. I was able to learn an abundance of information on the ongoing mental health crisis that presents as an overwhelming issue with healthcare systems across the country.

This training also provided information on how to properly deescalate a potentially violent situation.

I am more than confident that I will be able to use my status as an instructor to further train medical staff at my hospital, to increase employee safety and raise additional awareness to the mental health crisis.

I have taken several AVADE classes. Have completed a Work Place Violence prevention instructor course, with Mr. and Mrs. Fowler. A Train the trainer course with them as well. Great instructors, and amazing people in general. Have used them as a resource as I work to implement different things into our hospital and when working with local law enforcement. Recently took the Behavioral Health course with Cosmo. He was an amazing instructor as well. Very knowledgeable in the content, great exercises to showcase the techniques. All of the staff I have interacted with have been amazing. I have taken and taught several self-defense courses, and this one is by far the best one I have ever taken or had the privilege to teach.

I recently completed the 24 hour advanced instructor training with Cosmo and the entire experience was excellent. Having taken an AVADE program in the past (taught by David) I was familiar with AVADE and a huge advocate of the program created by David Fowler, I was excited to get another opportunity to train. More than a decade after my initial experience (which was also excellent) Cosmo continues to represent AVADE an an incredibly high level.

Great content, but as an instructor, it was Cosmo who made the class engaging and highly enjoyable. His energy and genuine care for safety and for both his students and those we serve is impressive. These skills are perishable and so how I work to retain and train moving forward is 100% on me. But I was handed a huge advantage in any issues I am in position to deal with moving forward.
